SERVING AT REDEEMER
The New Testament paints a picture of the church as God’s family. We love the image of God bringing a diverse group of people together in Christ and making us into a unified body.
One of the ways we express this common unity is by taking responsibility for the life of our church. Serving at Redeemer is one way we do this, as we meet the needs of our church family on Sundays and during the week.
Serving at Redeemer is a great way to help others grow in their faith, and one of the best ways to get to know other people in our church.
WAYS TO SERVE
-
RedeemerKIDS partners with parents in discipling the children at Redeemer Fellowship. We do this by providing a fun, welcoming environment every Sunday morning for our children.
Each Sunday we play games, sing songs, complete age-appropriate activities, and hear a lesson from the Bible. Our goal is to give each child a sense of the reality of God’s love, and a foundational understanding of the storyline of the Bible.
RedeemerKIDS volunteers must all complete a background check and trainings to ensure a safe, helpful environment. We hope that the community RedeemerKIDS volunteers form will lead to deeper relationships with other members in the church, and will strengthen their own faith as they help our kids grow in Jesus!
-
Our Sunday Hospitality team welcomes every person who comes through our doors on a Sunday morning. Our goal is to cultivate a culture of hospitality and presence so that each person can encounter God through worship, word, and God’s people.
The Hospitality Team has two roles.
Connection Volunteers cultivate a hospitable culture by welcoming and connecting with each person who enters our services. They provide helpful information to guests about Redeemer, and are passionate about giving each person an opportunity to grow in their faith at Redeemer.
Security Volunteers cultivate a hospitable culture by welcoming each person into our service and ensuring that Redeemer is a safe place for our church to gather. Security volunteers monitor the grounds, RedeemerKIDS, and respond to emergencies if needed. Because of the responsibility in this role, volunteers are required to pass a background test.
-
The Coffee team brews fresh coffee each service and ensures that each coffee station is supplied and clean. We provide detailed instruction and training, so no prior experience in coffee is necessary! The coffee team also has the added bonus of being everyone’s favorite team (because where would we be without coffee?)!
-
The Sunday Media team helps to lead worship by ensuring all of the appropriate lyrics and liturgies are displayed during our Sunday service.
Volunteers should have a strong attention to detail and desire for excellence, as we believe that this role is vital to helping our church worship and respond to God through song and prayer.

The lawn and landscaping team cares for our grounds by mowing the grass and performing other basic landscaping. The team serves mid-week and can work with your schedule. Ideally we work as close to Sunday as possible to ensure that the grounds are ready to welcome everyone to church.
